“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” (Jas 1:19 AV)

In 1997, Song, the principal at South Korea accused Kim of cheating during exams. Although Kim has denied, the Song remains to punish by beating Kim several times. The incident caused resentment within yourself Kim.

Twenty years later, Kim Song urged to apologize for wrongly convict him on charges of cheating did not commit. But the former teacher dismissed. Kim then called, sending electronic mail and came to the house to the Song urged to apologize. The result is nil. Song remained immovable. Kim's patience reached its limit. Kim, who is now 37-year-old was stabbed Song 58-year-old to death.

This tragic story reminds us to think carefully before they become angry and do something. Speech of James who became our passage is derived from the maxim of the Jewish nation. According to the wisdom of the Jewish nation, there are four types of people in terms of anger. First, quick-tempered person, but anger quickly subsided.. It's like your left hand to get something, but his right hand missing something. Second, people who slow anger, slow to anger subsided. It's like getting something right hand, but his left hand something to lose. Third, people are mad slow, and quickly died down when angry. This is good. Fourth, short-tempered person, but the anger slowly subsided. This was the worst.

In Greek legend, is told about Xenocrates who always dwell for a moment before responding to remarks of others. When asked why, Xenocrates replied, "At the moment of silence that I had the chance to regret the words I have just said" [Purnawan]
